Sentenced to silence

"Silences stoic stance suffocates sufficient will to spill even a single syllable out in even the slightest shout or pronounced pout or discussion of doubt about what... the... fuck... is..."

Sentenced to Silence is about a woman struggling to express herself in a world where expression is vital... Told through the most beautiful and poetic language that exhilarates and transcends the ordinary, we are drawn into the isolated world of Cara as she struggles in life, in love, and most importantly in her search to find herself amidst it all. Will Cara ever find her true voice? Or will she forever be sentenced to silence?

An explosive piece of new writing by poetic playwright Simon David. The play deals with the topical themes of isolation, detachment, mental health, LGBT, and most importantly our relationships to ourselves and our own expression.
